Arteta: PGMOL Row Over Gordon Goal Is in Past
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta insists the club's row with the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) over the disallowed goal against Manchester City is in the past.
The Gunners were denied a late equalizer in their 3-1 defeat at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday after Leandro Trossard's effort was ruled out for a foul by Eddie Nketiah on City goalkeeper Ederson.
Arteta was furious with the decision and subsequently launched a scathing attack on the PGMOL, accusing them of "consistently" making "poor decisions" against Arsenal.
However, speaking ahead of Arsenal's FA Cup fourth-round tie against Manchester City on Friday, Arteta said he had put the incident behind him.
"We had a conversation with the referees' body and we expressed our concerns and our feelings," Arteta said.
"They understood our frustration and they are going to try to improve. We have to move on. We cannot change the past."
Arteta also said he was confident that Arsenal could overcome the disappointment of the City defeat and bounce back against their rivals in the FA Cup.
"We have to focus on the next game and try to win it," Arteta said.
"We have a great opportunity to reach the next round of the FA Cup and we want to do that."
