Unity Festival Held To Mark Day of National Unity In Dagestan
Makhachkala hosted a festival of unity on November 4 in Dagestan Square dedicated to the Day of National Unity. The event was organized by the regional branch of the United Russia party.
The event began with a festive performance, and then continued with a series of exhibitions and competitions. Guests could also enjoy a concert featuring popular Dagestan singers and dance groups.
Head Of Republic Stresses Importance Of Unity
Speaking at the event, the Head of the Republic of Dagestan, Sergey Melikov, emphasized the importance of unity for the people of Dagestan.
“Today, we are celebrating a holiday that symbolizes the unity of our multinational people,” Melikov said. “We are strong when we are united, and we can overcome any challenges when we stand together.”
Unity Festival Held To Mark Day of National Unity In Dagestan
The event was attended by representatives of the regional government, the Dagestan State Council, and the United Russia party.
The Day of National Unity is a public holiday in Russia that commemorates the end of the Time of Troubles and the election of Mikhail Romanov as the first Tsar of Russia in 1613.
