Donk aces forZe on first map of BLAST World Final 2024 opener

OG eliminated forZe from BLAST World Final 2024

OG's Valdemar "valde" Bjørn Vangså took down forZe on the opening map of their BLAST World Final 2024 series with an ace.

OG took the map 16-11 on Anubis, with valde's ace coming in the 24th round. OG won the following round to close out the map.

OG advanced to the upper bracket semifinals, where they will face Astralis. forZe dropped to the lower bracket, where they will play Team Liquid in the first round.

valde's ace

valde's ace came with OG leading 13-10. He picked up the opening kill with a USP-S headshot on forZe's Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov.

He then traded kills with forZe's Aleksandr "⁠KENSI⁠" Gurkin, before picking up another two kills on forZe's Evgenii "⁠FL1T⁠" Lebedev and Aleksei "⁠Aunkere⁠" Leonov.

valde then finished off the ace with a kill on forZe's David "⁠n0rb3r7⁠" Danielyan.

OG's victory

OG's victory was their second over forZe in the last month. They also defeated forZe 2-0 in the group stage of the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2022.

OG are now one map away from reaching the BLAST World Final 2024 grand final. They will face Astralis in the upper bracket semifinals on January 14.

forZe's elimination

forZe's elimination from the BLAST World Final 2024 is a disappointing result for the team.

They were one of the favorites to win the tournament, but they have now lost two straight matches to OG.

forZe will now have to play in the lower bracket, where they will face Team Liquid in the first round. If they lose that match, they will be eliminated from the tournament.
