Fever Bring Back White for 2nd Stint
A Familiar Face Returns to the Fever
The Indiana Fever have re-signed forward Victoria Vivians to a multi-year contract, the team announced Tuesday.
Vivians, 27, was originally drafted by the Fever with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2018 WNBA Draft. She spent two seasons in Indiana before being traded to the Los Angeles Sparks in 2020.
In her two seasons with the Fever, Vivians averaged 11.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. She shot 42.5% from the field and 36.5% from three-point range.
Vivians Excited to Return to Indiana
"I am so excited to be back in Indiana," Vivians said in a statement. "I have great memories of my time here, and I am looking forward to helping the Fever compete for a championship."
Fever head coach Marianne Stanley said she is thrilled to have Vivians back on the team.
"Victoria is a talented player who brings a lot to our team," Stanley said. "She is a great shooter, defender, and teammate. I am confident that she will be a key contributor to our success this season."
Vivians Brings Versatility to the Fever
Vivians is a versatile player who can play both guard and forward. She is a good scorer, rebounder, and defender.
Vivians' return gives the Fever a much-needed boost in the backcourt. The Fever struggled to score last season, finishing 11th in the WNBA in points per game.
With Vivians in the lineup, the Fever should be a more competitive team this season. She is a proven scorer and defender who can help the Fever improve on their 12-20 record from last season.
