The Moroccan right-back's future has been the subject of much speculation this summer.
Paris Saint-Germain right-back Achraf Hakimi will remain at the club, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Moroccan international has been linked with a move to Chelsea in recent weeks, but Romano reports that Hakimi has no intention of leaving PSG this summer.
Hakimi has been a key player for PSG since joining the club from Inter Milan in 2021. He has made 50 appearances for the French champions, scoring four goals and providing 10 assists.
The 23-year-old is considered one of the best right-backs in the world, and his decision to stay at PSG is a major boost for the club. PSG are looking to build on their Ligue 1 title win last season and challenge for the Champions League this season.
Hakimi's decision to stay at PSG will also be a relief to Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel. The German coach is a big admirer of Hakimi, and he was keen to bring him to Stamford Bridge this summer.
However, Chelsea will now have to look elsewhere for a new right-back. The Blues have been linked with a number of players in recent weeks, including Denzel Dumfries of Inter Milan and Jeremie Frimpong of Bayer Leverkusen.
But Hakimi's decision to stay at PSG means that Chelsea will have to move on to other targets. The Blues are still looking to strengthen their squad before the transfer window closes on September 1.
