huNter-: Singapore Major will show how ready we are, as a team
G2’s Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač spoke to HLTV after his team’s first match in the IEM Katowice Play-in stage, and looked ahead to the upcoming Major in Singapore.
Despite winning their opening match against Astralis, huNter- admitted that G2 are not yet where they want to be in terms of their form, and that the team is still working on improving their communication and decision-making.
“I think we’re not at our top yet, we have a lot to improve,” he said. “Communication-wise, we still have a lot of misunderstandings, and in-game decision-making is still not on point.”
“But we’re working on it, and I think we’ll be ready for Singapore,” he added.
G2 will be one of the favorites in Singapore, and huNter- is confident that the team can win the Major.
“We’ve been working really hard, and I think we have a good chance of winning,” he said. “We just need to keep improving and stay focused.”
The Major in Singapore will be the first Major to be held in Asia, and huNter- is excited about the opportunity to play in front of a new crowd.
“I’ve never been to Singapore before, so I’m excited to see what it’s like,” he said. “I’ve heard that the fans there are really passionate, so I’m looking forward to playing in front of them.”
The Singapore Major will be held from May 12-21.
