Kurban Berdyev: The plan for Karabakh was about the same as usual

The head coach of the Russian club "Sochi" Kurban Berdyev expressed his opinion about the upcoming match with the Azerbaijani "Karabakh" in the first round of the Conference League group stage.

"The plan for Karabakh was about the same as usual. All rivals are well prepared. We were no exception. We all watched the game, understood what the team was doing. We know that they are a very strong, organized team. In the first match, we will try to create some problems for them. Let's see what happens,” Berdyev said at a press conference.

The match between "Karabakh" and "Sochi" will be held on August 18 in Baku at the stadium "Tofiq Bakhramov".

In the first round, the Russian team defeated CSKA (Bulgaria) in the Conference League qualification with a score of 3:1.

"Karabakh" reached the group stage of the Conference League, beating the Hungarian "Fehervar" (4:1) and the Swiss "Basel" (5:4 on aggregate).
