The Early Years
Marlon Brando was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on April 3, 1924. His father, Marlon Brando Sr., was a salesman, and his mother, Dorothy Pennebaker Brando, was an actress. Brando's parents divorced when he was young, and he was raised by his mother in a small town in Illinois.
Hollywood Stardom and "The Godfather"
He went on to star in a number of successful films, including "On the Waterfront" (1954), "The Wild One" (1953), and "A Streetcar Named Desire" (1951).
