MTS and MGTS users reported problems with communication
On the evening of March 2, numerous users of the mobile operator MTS and the Internet provider MGTS reported communication problems. The company officially confirmed that there had been a failure in the network. Now the problem is solved, but individual failures are still possible.
“For some MTS subscribers in Moscow and the Moscow region, there were difficulties in making calls and using the mobile Internet. The problem has been fixed. Now the network is working properly,” the MTS press service said in a statement. MGTS also reported that the problems have been resolved.
Problems could not be resolved quickly
According to users, problems with communication began in the evening. Subscribers could not make calls, send SMS and use the mobile Internet. The company did not immediately acknowledge the problems, which angered users. Some of them even threatened to switch to other operators.
Later, MTS officially acknowledged the problems and said that they were caused by a failure in the network. The company also said that it was working to fix the problem as soon as possible. However, the problems were not resolved quickly. Only by late at night the company reported that the network is working properly.
