Nemања “huNter-“ Kовач: Singapore tournament will show how ready we are
G2’s rifler Nemања “huNter-“ Kовач spoke about the upcoming IEM Singapore, the new patch, and the team’s aspirations for the second half of the year
The Serbian rifler believes the upcoming tournament in Singapore will be a good test for G2, who have been struggling for form in recent months.
G2 are currently ranked 10th in the HLTV world rankings, and have not won a tournament since IEM Katowice in February.
Kовач believes the team is starting to find their form again, and is looking forward to the challenge of IEM Singapore.
"We've been practicing a lot lately, and we're starting to feel more confident in our game," he said.
"Singapore will be a good test for us, and we're looking forward to seeing how we stack up against the best teams in the world."
The new patch, which was released on July 19, has also had a positive impact on G2, according to Kовач.
"The new patch has been good for us," he said.
"It's made the game more balanced, and it's given us a chance to try out some new strategies."
G2 are hoping to use the IEM Singapore tournament as a springboard for the second half of the year.
"We want to finish the year strong," said Kовач.
"We know we have the potential to be one of the best teams in the world, and we're going to do everything we can to reach our goals."
