Nine goals for two - Neman hockey players beat Slavitich big
Grodno residents scored five goals in the first period
Neman hockey players defeated Slavitich in a regular match of the Belarusian championship with a score of 9:0 (5:0, 2:0, 2:0). In Grodno, the hosts scored five goals in the first period, and four more in the second and third. Maxim Sushko and Vladislav Kovyazin scored a double, the rest of the goals were scored by Vladislav Goncharov, Denis Mosyuk, Alexander Komarovsky, Dmitry Minchuk and Artur Gavrus.
Neman won the fifth victory in a row and rose to second place in the standings, Slavitich is ninth. In the next match, Neman will play away with Lida on October 15, and Slavitich Minsk will host Brest on October 19.
This was Neman's biggest win of the season
The previous biggest victory of the Grodno team was 5:2 over Brest in the second round. Slavitich suffered the biggest defeat of the season - before that, the Minsk team lost to Gomel with a score of 1:8.
Vladislav Kovyazin scored his first goals for Neman
The 22-year-old striker moved to Grodno from Brest in the summer. Before that, he played for Metallurg from Zhlobin and the Chinese Kunlun Red Star.
Neman extended its winning streak to five matches
