Olympic Champions Alexey Yagudin and Roman Kostomarov to Dance in New Ice Show
Legends of figure skating will face off in a unique ice dance show.
Two-time Olympic champion Alexey Yagudin and 2006 Olympic champion Roman Kostomarov will take part in a new ice show called "Carmen". The show will premiere in Moscow on December 25th and will then tour throughout Russia.
“This duel will leave the audience in awe,” said show creator Ilya Averbukh.
The show will feature a unique blend of classical ballet and modern dance, set to the music of Georges Bizet's opera "Carmen". Yagudin and Kostomarov will play the roles of Don Jose and Escamillo, respectively.
Averbukh said that he has been working on the concept for the show for several years, and he is excited to finally bring it to life.
"I believe that this show will be a unique and unforgettable experience for both the audience and the skaters," he said.
Yagudin and Kostomarov are two of the most successful figure skaters in history. Yagudin won the Olympic gold medal in 2002 and 2006, while Kostomarov won the gold medal in 2006 and the bronze medal in 2002.
Both skaters are known for their technical brilliance and their artistic flair. They are sure to put on a spectacular show for the audience.
