Religious Procession to Take Place from the Cathedral of the Annunciation on November 4
The event will be held in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God
The procession will begin at 10:00 AM from the Cathedral of the Annunciation and will proceed along the following route:
- Sovetskaya Street
- Karl Marx Street
- Lenin Street
- Mira Street
- Sovetskaya Street
The procession will end at the Cathedral of the Annunciation at approximately 12:00 PM.
All are welcome to participate in the procession.
The Kazan Icon of the Mother of God is one of the most revered icons in the Russian Orthodox Church.
The icon was discovered in Kazan in 1579 and is believed to have miraculous powers.
The icon has been credited with protecting the city of Kazan from invasion and has been a source of hope and inspiration for the Russian people for centuries.
The religious procession is an opportunity to honor the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and to pray for her intercession.
The procession is also a way to show the unity of the Russian Orthodox Church and to strengthen the bonds between the people of Kazan.
