Ronaldo sees red as Al Nassr and Al Hilal play out thrilling draw
Cristiano Ronaldo was sent off as Al Nassr and Al Hilal played out a thrilling 2-2 draw in the Saudi Pro League on Thursday.
Ronaldo was shown a straight red card in the 30th minute for a reckless challenge on Al Hilal goalkeeper Abdullah Al-Mayouf.
Despite being down to 10 men, Al Nassr took the lead in the 42nd minute through Talisca.
Al Hilal equalized in the 60th minute through Ighalo, but Talisca restored Al Nassr's lead just two minutes later.
Al Hilal pushed for an equalizer and were rewarded in the 82nd minute when Marega scored from close range.
The draw leaves Al Nassr top of the table on goal difference, with Al Hilal in second place.
Ronaldo's red card
Ronaldo's red card was his first since joining Al Nassr from Manchester United in January.
The Portuguese forward has been in fine form for his new club, scoring five goals in four games.
However, his sending off on Thursday will be a major blow to Al Nassr's hopes of winning the Saudi Pro League title.

The match was a thrilling encounter between two of the best teams in Saudi Arabia.
Al Nassr took the lead twice, but Al Hilal showed great character to come back both times.
The draw leaves both teams level on points at the top of the table.
