Civilian infrastructure was not hit, no casualties are reported
The air raid alert in the Oryol Oblast, which was declared on December 5 at 11:21 Moscow time, was lifted at 12:49 Moscow time. This was reported by the governor of the region, Andrei Klychkov. He added that the civilian infrastructure was not affected and there were no casualties.
Earlier, the governor of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, announced the downing of a Ukrainian drone in the region. According to him, the drone was shot down near the village of Popovo-Lezhachi, there were no casualties or damage.
The air raid alert on the territory of the Oryol and Kursk regions was announced for the first time since the beginning of the special military operation. At the same time, the air raid alert was announced in the Belgorod region. Residents of the region were urged to stay in shelters.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine have repeatedly shelled the border areas of the Bryansk, Kursk and Belgorod regions. The shelling was carried out both from artillery and from drones.
