"Spartak" Will Clearly Drop Out of the Fight for High Places if They Lose to CSKA, Thinks Semin
The Former Head Coach of Lokomotiv and the Russian National Team, Yuri Semin, shared his opinion on the upcoming match of the 15th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL) between CSKA and Spartak.
According to the specialist, if Spartak loses to their rivals, they will have practically no chance of taking high places in the championship this season.
"I think that if Spartak loses to CSKA, then they will clearly drop out of the fight for high places. They will still have mathematical chances, of course, but they will be minimal," Semin said in an interview with the Sport-Express newspaper.
The expert noted that Spartak is now in a difficult tournament situation. The team is in 10th place in the RPL standings, having scored 20 points in 14 matches.
CSKA, in turn, is in sixth place, having scored 25 points in the same number of games.
The match between CSKA and Spartak will take place on October 23 at the VEB Arena stadium in Moscow.
