Ticketmaster UK is under fire for 'outrageous' booking fees
Fans have been left furious after being charged up to £26 in fees to book tickets for gigs and festivals.
Ticketmaster has come under fire for charging "outrageous" booking fees, with some fans being charged up to £26 to secure tickets for gigs and festivals.
The company has been accused of profiteering from the live music industry, with critics arguing that the fees are excessive and unfair.
One fan, who was trying to buy tickets for a gig at London's O2 Arena, said he was charged a £26 booking fee on top of the £60 ticket price.
"It's a disgrace," he said. "I love going to gigs, but I'm not going to pay these ridiculous fees."
Ticketmaster has defended its fees, saying that they are necessary to cover the costs of running its business.
However, the company has been criticized for its lack of transparency about how the fees are calculated.
A spokesperson for the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) said that it was "aware of the concerns that have been raised about Ticketmaster's booking fees."
The CMA said that it was "considering whether there are any competition concerns that need to be investigated."
