From November 3 to November 5, Yamal will celebrate the Day of National Unity. The holiday program is scheduled for three days and will be held in a mixed format. There will be events in the region's cities and districts where it is possible to take part in person, as well as online events.
On November 3, the Yamal Regional Museum Complex invites residents to a master class "Cossack crafts". During the event, you can try your hand at making a Cossack doll. The event will begin at 12:00. On the same day, at 16:00, a concert "We are together!" will be held at the Yamal-Nenets Philharmonic Hall. Admission is free, but registration is required. The concert will feature Russian folk songs and dances, as well as works by modern composers. It takes place in the framework of the All-Russian action "Big Ethno-Dictation". Its participants will write a test on the knowledge of the history, culture and traditions of the peoples of Russia. On November 4, it will be possible to take part in the action offline at the Yamal Regional Museum Complex. Registration is available on the website of the Big Ethno-Dictation.
On November 4, the Central City Library will invite residents and guests of the capital of Yamal to the event "My Homeland is Russia". The celebration of the Day of National Unity will begin with a large-scale exhibition "Unity of the Great Power". Its opening will take place at 14:00. The program of the event also includes the gathering "We must keep the memory alive!", which will be held at 12:00 in the Assembly Hall of the Central City Library. At 16:00, the library will host the screening of the historical and documentary film "Yamal Unity", which is dedicated to the Cossacks and their contribution to the development of the region. On November 5, the Yamal Regional Museum Complex will host a quiz "What do we know about the peoples of Russia?". Two age groups will take part in the event - children from 7 to 14 years old and adults from 15 years old and older. The beginning of the quiz is at 13:00.
The residents of Yamal will also be able to participate in online events dedicated to National Unity Day. These activities will take place on the official pages of the Central City Library in social networks. Online quiz about the history of the holiday, virtual exhibitions, master classes on making national dolls, and much more await the participants of the online festivities.
