Grigor Dimitrov Reaches Third Round of Paris Masters
Dimitrov Defeats Khachanov in Straight Sets
Grigor Dimitrov continued his impressive form at the Paris Masters on Wednesday, defeating Karen Khachanov in straight sets to reach the third round.
The Bulgarian, who won the Sofia Open last week, was too strong for the Russian, winning 6-3, 6-2 in just 71 minutes.
Dimitrov's Dominant Performance
Dimitrov was in control of the match from the start, breaking Khachanov's serve in the opening game and never looking back.
The 31-year-old hit 22 winners to Khachanov's 12 and won 75% of his first-serve points.
Dimitrov will now face either Hubert Hurkacz or Lorenzo Musetti in the third round.
Khachanov's Disappointing Exit
Khachanov's defeat was a disappointing end to his Paris Masters campaign.
The 26-year-old was seeded 13th for the tournament but has now lost in the second round in three consecutive years.
Khachanov will now turn his attention to the ATP Finals, which begin in Turin next week.
